Stick and Rudder is based at Kenosha Airport on the shore of lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin. Kenosha is a medium sized airport with three had-top runways and an active control tower. Controllers at Kenosha direct traffic into and out of the airport, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency. This gives students at Kenosha an advantage, as they practice how to receive and execute controller instructions. In addition to being a superior training environment, Kenosha is also quite scenic; the lake stretching out to the east and fields to the west. On a clear day, students can see south to Chicago and north to Milwaukee.
